I'm gonna watch the first Yu Gi Oh movie first, Pyramid of Light? I should have watched it after Battle City but i didn't know about it. Then I'll watch Dark Side of Dimensions and probably be done with Yu Gi Oh.

Sub or dub?

Dub of course isn't a bad dub voice-wise, if a bit cheesy (and is the way to go in the event you are a person who doesn't like reading subtitles). But they did throw away the vastly superior original OST for it (something 4kids does frequently that gets a lot of justified hate, but which is necessary given their editing style and needing to be able to remove bits here and there as need be, which would throw the OST's timing off if they used the original).

The original soundtrack for the first Yu-Gi-Oh is actually really good IMO.

the other movie is a continuation of the MANGA, which has a few differences from the anime

Before DSoD was actually made, it was planned for Kaiba to be the only major returning character. I still wonder what that would have been like.

4Kids has bad song skills, with a rare lucky exception. Pokemon being the most famous one. They actually did decently with their music for that.

But yeah. About the only memorable thing I remember music-wise from the entirety of 4kids dubbed Yugioh (and sequel series) is that the short opening bit that played before episodes was pretty cool at the end when it went all french horns. Or at least I think I am remembering that correctly.

So do i watch Dark Side of Dimensions dubbed or subbed? I'd prefer dubbed to keep in feel with the series, but i understand if subbed is significantly better.

The dub was good I thought. If you need your Dan Green and Eric Stuart fix, go for it.

Also, as mentioned earlier, DSoD follows the end of the manga rather than the anime. Biggest difference that would create some confusion is that Kaiba wasn't present at the Ceremonial Duel in the manga. So he is still super salty and did not actually have that moment of acknowledging Yugi that he did in the anime.
