Today was Italy's worst day with the virus, but this is the peak. We will start to see it drop-off from here on out. The US will be fine as well.

This week will be a bit rocky with layoffs and what-not, but April will be great. Everyone just stay calm and safe.

It is just a waiting game at this point. The world leaders and more importantly health leaders will take care of it from here. We will all be fine. At what cost, though.

New York will get much-needed federal help this week finally. They are at over 10k cases right now but it will be down below that number by end of the month I think.

Hasn't it been about ten since Italy did their nationwide lockdown? Im hoping well start to see a drop off in the coming week for them.

The US is just getting warmed up.

The last daily death count was the first day since this started that the count was lower than the prior day

It was still like 650 people dead versus nearly 800 the day before but... progress.

Not true. The Spanish Flu for example had exacerbated second-peak based on human complications.

Illness have 1 peak for any given local population, really. After March, at least for you and I in the United States, our hospitals will start to be able to take care of folks at a more normal pace.

Fact:

spirin poisoning
In a 2009 paper published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases, Karen Starko proposed that aspirin poisoning contributed substantially to the fatalities. She based this on the reported symptoms in those dying from the flu, as reported in the post mortem reports still available, and also the timing of the big "death spike" in October 1918. This occurred shortly after the Surgeon General of the U.S. Army and the Journal of the American Medical Association both recommended very large doses of 8 to 31 grams of aspirin per day as part of treatment. These levels will produce hyperventilation in 33% of patients, as well as lung edema in 3% of patients.[113]

If italy can retain the reduction in deaths and new cases for 5 days then they have probably peaked, but what happens when they all start mixing? Does this shit flare up again?

And sorry for the hurtful truth but other countries are FAR from the peak

I don't think the worst is over in the world, especially seeing as how many people have NOT been tested. Plus factor in people that likely had it (in a mild form), got better.. but in the meantime- they spread it to others.

Perhaps the worst is over in Italty, time will tell.

Be safe everyone.
