I have an NES, but it doesn't work and I'm not confident in my ability to repair it. Any ideas on what to do with it after I gut it?

But whats wrong with it? If its just the lockout pin thing then thats easily repairable. Dont trash an NES over that.
Some of these pins are scuffed so bad that there's no continuity on them. I don't trust myself to solder them such that they're continuous. I'm not attached to it considering it didn't work when I got it and it was $8.

Won't fix the non-continuity of the pins.

Originally started that sentence with "It", but GameFAQs considers that censor bypassing.

Gut it, put the top half on hinges and then you got an NES chest. Put some plastic around where the cartridge goes and you got an extra compartment.
