Is it okay if the connectors for my case's stock fans have 3 inputs and get put onto some arbitrary spot on the 4-pin fan headers on my mobo (either the first three or last three of the row)? Or is that not good? Is this just not gonna work with my mobo?

I put my 3-pin into the first three of the Mobo 4-pin connector. I recall reading that it didn't matter which at the time (a couple months ago).

Mainboards have several fan connector spots on them. Plug the fan in to the one it is closest to.

Yeah, no douby he is. But the Mobo case fan headers have 4-pin slots, and our case fans have 3-pin connectors, so that's what he was asking about.
