Okay, so what happens after when they meet for the first time?

I lie about my height because everyone does. I say I'm 5'9 when I'm actually 6'2 because everyone is claiming to be taller so I just want to fuck with perspectives.

A lifetime of atrocious posture has me about an inch shorter than I was when I was in my late teens. It sucked adjusting to telling people I'm only 5'9". I've tried to do correction exercises but I think it might be permanent at this point. Have some real Mr. Burns shit going smh.

I just think people include their shoes or something when talking about height. Like I'm 5'11 and I haven't seen a woman or anyone else for that matter ever say anything about me being short like ever in my life. (Because apparently being 5'11 is a manlet according to the internet or something and I will never have a chance with woman due to my height. lol) Actually the opposite often happens to me where people call me tall instead. And honestly at 5'11, if I had to estimate out of my own ass I'm probably taller than around 80% of the other males I see. Not rare for someone to be taller than me but not exactly common.

I've seen people slightly taller than me say how they're 6'2/6'3 and shit and then get bothered or something when I say I'm only 5'11. "No way bro, you're fucking 6'1" like idk what to say, for the past 4 years, every time I go and see a doctor my height always come back as 5'11. I've even checked it myself and the results came back as 5'11

I ask these people if they include shoes in their calculations and they always say no. so idk anymore \_()_/

I'm like 6'0 and a half and people lie like FUCK about their height. 6 feet is actually pretty tall and there's all these guys that want to claim they're 6 feet but they're not. Guys have told me I must be 6'3 or something. Uh, no. With no shoes, I'm barely 6'1. That's it. I've checked. Guys just want to be 6 feet tall so bad.

Imagine not understanding why it's considered significant, which post #2 accurately detailed for you.

It's not predominately men who consider it significant on their own.
It's overwhelmingly and admittedly women who treat it as a potential dealbreaker if a man doesn't reach a certain height quota...

The number of women casually fussing over a man's height is why many men pay attention to the longstanding trend and get concerned about it when desiring to date women.

There's only really a few heights that a man can be. If they're under 6 feet tall, but close(within a couple inches), they're 6 feet tall.

If they can't pass for 6 feet tall, they're 5'10. Unless they're literally shorter than the average woman, they'll say 5'10.

Over 6 feet tall, they'll just say their actual height.

Nearly everyone else height frauds, so if you don't, you sound like a midget lol.

For example my just barely 5'9 brother claims to be 5'11. It's on his cards and everything.

I put 6'2 online even though I'm 6'4, because 6'4 is actually a deal breaker for a lot of chicks. They think it's a little too tall.

In person the reaction is always "wow, you're taller than I thought" but then they don't care after that. Sometimes they'll compare to other dudes in their life and I'll just be thinking "yeah, I subtracted 2 inches and he probably added 2"

Yeah, sadly. You're gay right? Sorry, just asking because I get you confused with another poster. I always like your takes on the dating game.
