I just started playing but I'm loving it so far. I hope it doesn't take too long before I can carry more ammo.

You got to remember to use your chainsaw when you run out also that it always refill to one pip so you can always use it on low level enemy. Also, full ammo count is still not very high. You get 25 shotgun round when you fill up your ammo counter.

Isn't it weird that the ammo increase is so disparate across the weapons ? 1st ammo upgrade, the assault rifle gets 50% more, and the shotgun, 2 shells ? Wtf.

Just beat the Marauder at my third try with him. Honestly, he was easier than the first boss.

I'm falling in love with the combat on this game. I've only played the first 2 missions. A couple of these arenas have been very intense. I'm eager to start the 3rd.

I use my frag gernades a lot but pretty much entirely forget about the flamethrower.

I made better keybinds so it's easier to remember all the CDs

Also I got an optional battle I need to beat against 1 Maurader in 30 sec. Maybe I gotta time the BFG

Four levels done and I'm in love, this game is amazing! After the first level I was unimpressed but it keeps getting better and better. Now if you'll excuse me I have a nest to exterminate.

I remember thinking the game was too hard on the 2nd mission. I'm probz halfway through the 3rd, and I feel like I've mastered the learning curve pretty well and that is making combat funnier and less frustrating. Just got the Rocket Lawn Chair also. The game can only get better as I acquire more weapons.

Yeah I didnt love all the extra platforming at first but it really grew on me. I finished the super gore nest mission last night, that one and the mission before had some fun platforming

The Doom Hunters battle was fun as fuck too.

Yes, kinda :(
It's still very good, but feels a little off with all the nonsense tools that you're basically forced to use to keep afloat.
The beauty of 2016 was its simplicity and organic gameplay. Here's 8 weapons, do what you want.
Here you're kind of forced into patterns due to the lack of ammo and the absurdly low shell ammo you can carry.
And the gosh darn platforming. Who thought it would fit in a doom ?

How far in have you gotten?

It was late in the 2nd level when I realized how beautifully they merged the combat and platforming. The bits where there is platforming with no enemies only help you to prepare for the later-on intense combat/platforming sessions.

Marauders mess with my head too much. One on one they're fine unless he spams that stupid wolf. If he's in a room with a bunch of heavies then it's beyond frustrating. Sure, doable, but he really disrupts my shit.

I think he summons the wolf when you hit his shield multiple times. But man Mauraders are my most hated enemies. Playing on UV.

Ok I tried the multiplayer few times, to get the weekly challenge done (complete 3 battles). I played Quick Play, without tutorial so I was lost af and we were defeated. Then I tried to play as a Maurader, but the Slayer we were against was OP. Then a third time I was a Pain Elemental and getting hang of it, and we won. I can get down to this I think. Haven't tried as a Slayer yet.

This, the final boss fight is BS of all the add that come in. Like, it would have been epic if was just you and him.

To be honest, he wasn't that bad. It was just that initial moment of getting use to the speed and fake outs. Please don't tell me I have to fight more than one at once though.
