LostForest 03/16/20 8:33:47 PM #1:	We booked in December for a trip in May, and then bought trip insurance back in January before coronavirus went international, but last I read, travel insurance policies aren't doing anything regarding the epidemic. They generally reimburse you for your ticketfare only if you get sick/unemployed/have a crime committed against you. Now at this point, I don't think we logistically can go without getting quarantined both going out and then coming back in. Meanwhile, the airline itself is only offering rebooking fees waived through August 31st, and we don't really want to go in the summertime since that's when I'm busiest at work. Since the airline didnt technically provide you a service yet, a reputable credit card companies may side with you, especially given the circumstances.
