I'm in a Masters program and this professor and I know each other pretty well, dating back to 2018. I have him in this class and he hasn't graded some of my papers from a week ago so I sent a stealth message to see what was up

I am feeling pretty good about the final project overall and I am looking forward to feedback on the last two papers as well. It would probably be less intrusive if you just straight up asked him rather than embedding your true question subtly in a message of sucking up.

Your email isn't so much weird as it just seems kind of pointless. Should've asked in a nice way if he could hurry the fuck up because you're losing patience.

Yeah, I feel like with most other professors this might not have worked. Luckily I'm like on REALLY good terms with this guy and he might be glad I felt like sending him an email.
