HOWEVER (and it's a BIG HOWEVER) this is also a REALLY dumb point. When we talk about a YEAR it's UNDERSTOOD to be January 1 thru December 31! Nobody brings up a year and then says "Which year do you mean, the year that started on March 26 2019 or the year that started on January 1 2019?" There is a CONVENTION.

yes because everyone considers themselves to be a full year older on January 1

and every couple celebrates their anniversary on January 1

and every big occasion that we care to remember from years ago we remember on January 1

what an amazing day this is

why even have the other 364 (or 365 some years, but how is that even allowed because we have a CONVENTION)
