The argument against every primary being on the same day is that it would cost too much for candidates to be traveling and advertising everywhere at once, but I'm not sure if that's a real good justification for the antidemocratic outcomes like this.

They should all be in the same week and it should have already been done. There is zero reason to go half way into the year distracted like this and have candidates tear eachother apart before they even get to the big showdown, this goes for both parties.
