To: Management

As of today I am officially turning in my three weeks notice. My final day of availability will be April, 5th, 2020. Coming towards the end of my Masters program, I must relieve my employment at Panera Bread, beginning the next chapter of my life. I am preparing to move back out west, in search of a new career. My time at this company has been wholesome, as I have gained new skills and experiences which can and will be applied in the coming times. As of today, I have worked at Panera for almost two full years, all of which will be treasured. It is much appreciated that during my time at this company I was promoted to Associate Trainer. This was a wonderful opportunity which gave timeless experiences.

I first came to Panera in a pinch. I had left a difficult situation at a time of financial hardship. It was fortunate that I was given this opportunity; I would like to think I made the most of my time spent here, doing my best work whenever possible. As time went on I began to gain a bit of an emotional attachment to this company, doing my best to keep things afloat. There were difficult times but we worked through them together. I feel as though I am leaving Panera in a good place. I was lucky to train many new associates who, while not always perfect, should be able to take the reins successfully. It was fun training my replacements.

As I leave I wish the best for everyone I leave behind. Whether your future involves moving up at Panera, going back to school, or using this experience to find a more high paying job, I am confident that you will be successful. This caf is run by competent people. I am about to accomplish something that many years ago I genuinely felt wasnt possible. Leaving this job will be bittersweet. While there are many fond memories, there is also a genuine sense of optimism for the future. In short, this has been a wonderful experience and I appreciate the camaraderie and support I have received during my stay. But all good things must come to an end. As I say goodbye, just remember, there is a little cool sam in all of us.

Is this too much for a retail job? I want to go out in style. The managers already know I'm quitting but I have to write my two weeks officially in a few weeks
