I agree, even if i have only played one game of Spelunky Classic and that's it. I think it's at tie with Touhou games for hardest game though.

Hardest? Big disagree. It certainly is a hard game to master and finding the secrets without looking it up first would be a real pain but there are many more unfair and harder games. It's certainly a fair but unforgiving kind of hard though and very fun.

It's a hella good game and can be tricky, but not Hardest of all time.

..

Unless going for the secret ending during multiplayer since you combine all the problems of a nuanced platformer with the BS chicanery of New Super Mario Bros trolling.

It's real fun though!

In the remake, I've only done the full hell run once. I haven't played in a long time, but I doubt I would be able to do it without a lot a lot of practice
