Last time I went skiing I was 10. But adult ski group lessons are like 90 bucks. There are tons of YouTube series talking about skiing for beginners...think Id be fine just watching those instead?

You can get the basics but until you know what it actually feels like to go down a mountain wearing skis it's all just theory.

It's not super different from having an instructor describe it. Learn the basics verbally, then figure out the details by trying it out yourself.
Honestly, skiing is pretty easy, at least for the basic levels. I learned over the course of one field trip while I was in 5th grade. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. But I am definitely not a furry. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Maybe for things that require physical actions like this might be better with someone actually teaching you since they can help you in real time and make sure you don't learn any bad habits or form etc., but having to pay for that seems like a waste until you get the basics down at least as long as you aren't aspiring to be some pro skiier or something
