Chicago NPR had a special of Americans who researched their slave ancestors and obtained documentation. So why no "children of convicts" or "children of assisted immigrants"? The Colonies in America were settled by convicts until the British were defeated. There is no estimate of how many American are descended from convicts but wikipedia says 20% of Australians.
Common sense dictates an answer. If a slave gets pregnant, she provides an investment to the master. If a convict or assisted immigrant gets pregnant, it is an expense. If a convict or an assisted immigrant started a family, then she had to escape first so no documentation. What is my point? Am I making a point? My point is that there is a lot of history being ignored. Yes at one point the history being ignored was the use and abuse of the involuntary immigrants from Africa. This still leaves a lot of ignored history. What about joint uprisings of slaves/ convicts/ assisted immigrants? They worked side by side? Why do you think anti-miscegenation was put into law? Answer so you could break leadership of a revolt on fraternization charges. Our ancestors fought side by side in undocumented slave revolts. There is documentation of the documentation being removed. There are the anti-miscegenation laws and there is common sense that the the a-m laws were to dismantle slave revolts. Am I making a point? Americans have to fight together instead of fighting each other. American have to stop fighting over who has suffered most and instead fight to stop suffering. Convict life: What was life like on the hulks? Conditions in these floating gaols were terrible. The hulks were over-crowded and cramped, often there wasnt even room to stand up! A hulk could be up to 65 metres long. This is the same size as 6 buses placed end to end. On board each hulk there could be up to 300 convicts. There were many diseases on board and convicts died. Between 1776 and 1795 nearly 2000 out of almost 6000 convicts held on hulks, died. The majority died from diseases such as typhoid and cholera. The convicts were not fed very well. The people in charge wanted to keep costs low. The daily diet was often made up of ox-cheek, either boiled or made into soup, pease (peas), bread or biscuits. The biscuits were often mouldy. Tobacco could be supplied as part of their ration as a reward for a job well done or for good behaviour. Convicts got up at sunrise and worked hard for up to 10 hours a day. All convicts were sentenced to hard labour as part of their punishment and could be forced to work at just about any manual task such as timber cutting, brick making or stone cutting. Attention and closing a gamefaqs account is on the same footing as fighting for freedom?
On second thought I realize that fighting for freedom is on a lesser footing. --- GoldenSun/Crossbone Isle diagrams/ 18 teams known http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w89/SwordOfWheat/Weyard/PicsNao/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

"I know black people had it bad with that whole slavery thing... But you know who else had it bad? Fucking white people!"
Yes. Some white people had it bad. Brittish Imperialism is the direct or indirect cause of many conflicts in the 20th century and there's some things that are still haunted by its ghost... But the average WASP in America faced no real systematic oppression for a very long time. Unless you're talking about class issues. But I don't think you would be. --- NNID: MisterNoOne | PSN: The_Mistled ... Copied to Clipboard!

The entire black vs white thing you are latching onto so fiercely is all yours. You need it fine. It is bogus.. People if the same nationality and heritage in UK killed each other off and betrayed each other for hundreds of years. Hatfields and MaCoys killed ea h other off just fine. --- GoldenSun/Crossbone Isle diagrams/ 18 teams known http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w89/SwordOfWheat/Weyard/PicsNao/ ...
