Where does ammunition keep coming from? Nobody is making it anymore and after so many years, it should vanish.

Where do they get their clothes from? After a few years, they should all deteriorate, especially the clothes on the zombies. They can make new clothes but it would be makeshift improvised new stuff, not cotton based clothes from before the outbreak.

I haven't watched the show since after they (spoilers for the show) defeated and captured Negan But in the comics I'm pretty sure Eugene set up an ammo making factory

Ammo is a bit off, but remember, the series is set in dominantly red states so they aren't neutered by gun control, so there's more to scavenge. Also the reason Eugene could track down a manufacturing facility.

Clothes, the zombies took out the population, but Walmart still stands to be looted for the foreseeable future, as is any number of homes.

Storms and dampness would expose places to the elements. Lots of clothes are made for larger people and less people would be overweight in a post-apocotlypeic world so many of them would not be usable. People would wear clothes too big but it would be a hindrance when up against zombies and hostile humans.

It isn't perfect, but it's dozens of survivors raiding homes and stores of hundreds of thousands. There'll be options for a while before they have to re-learn to work a loom or tan leather.

I mean, you want to talk "not making sense", why do some of these people still look like they have regular access to whitening toothpaste and dental care?

They have a guy that can make ammunition now.

Clothes don't deteriorate that fast. I believe it's only been, what, 7-8 years since the start of the outbreak (and 5 of those years were due to a big time skip where everybody got new outfits anyway)? If people are cleaning their shit regularly, it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Not to mention, there's probably tailors and shit to make new clothing.

Lots of clothes are made for larger people. Lol. What?

Anyway... its only been like 5 or 6 years since the outbreak? Ive got a 15 year old shirt sitting my shed right now. Even if Belks has a hole in the roof theres still going to be plenty of clothes.
You're not in a post apocalyptic world fighting armed para-military groups and hordes of undead in a world with no infrastructure. You also probably have a large selection of clothes in your closet to choose from.
