You always hear this idea that it's a good to throw in easy enemies somewhere after the player levels up so that they get a sense of accomplishment and feel that they've grown. The problem with that is that it's too easy. If it's a turn based RPG then really it's just pressing a button over and over again to quickly run through the motions of a battle...it just interrupts actual engaging gameplay just to show you that you leveled up and that you're making progress.

I think it would be better if there were a facet to an RPG that has a skill involved. When I played Halo a lot, it was still fun to own noobs because I still had to try to aim and kill them. It wasn't simply running through the motions. I had to still concentrate to an extent. So if leveling up, for example, means that you get a perk where your aim is more steady, or there's less bloom, etc. then you still have to aim at enemies and be engaged, but you feel the reward of your progress. I think this is a better route.

plenty don't have "easy " enemies

You sound like you would Enjoy Dark Souls or the old 1980s RPGs

eh, the best rpg of all time is also probably one of the easiest ive ever played. (Chrono Trigger)

I dont think they need to be hard to be great
