an enemy just pushed me while i was jumping, and it clipped me into a house, (or rather, big piece of geometry) where i got stuck and fell in place until i fucking died because the game doesn't decide what damage you take based on how far you actually fall, it's based on how long the falling animation plays......

it's 2020 and games really are still this janky. god forbid they pop you out to where you were before getting stuck, no no, let's just fucking kill the player for it

I thought that DLC was kinda lackluster. I never experienced a bug like that though.

the area is super cool, that boss fight is absolutely broken, and needless to say, they got a liiiiittle carried away with enemy placement

Oh I loved the game, it's just the DLC was very short, the new area was small and could have done with a few more bosses imo.

the only reason i ran by them is because i only have two minutes to get the stuff i dropped upon dying, which i would actually say is more bullshit, lol. i like the game, but yeah, it's flawed

the two dudes with guns past the big guy can straight up kill you with one shot if they hit you at the same time, even running past enemies is difficult because they track you all year long

no, it's terrible, one of the absolute dumbest decisions, with the dumbest of all going to permanently missable boss weapons like the one i mentioned. the game itself has more good to offer than bad, but i'll be the first to talk about what's fucking horrible about it all day long

to put this into perspective, if i want another shot at the Hot-N-Heavy, (fire hammer) I have to finish my current playthrough (idk how long it'll take) start NG+, (with harder enemies) play through to the halfway point where I currently am when the DLC is accessible, then play through to the boss again and make sure I slice his arm off. The weapon doesn't just drop, you have to amputate the entire fucking limb. Anyway I'm at nearly 50 hours on my first playthrough, soooooooo

pretty much, and it works for the most part, but a lot of these devs think that to make a souls-like game MUST mean to pull unfair bullshit and overpunish the player

The timer goes up about 20 seconds for each mob killed though. In the first game you could abuse that to get to level 200+in the first part of the game.
The game gets super easy if you learn to do directional blocks and put on implants that buff you when you do.

Great, so apparently that's the only missable weapon in the DLC. The only one I wanted. In the DLC which I paid for, and they insist on cheating the player out of paid content. No reason to pull shit like that.

lucky me, turns out there's actually PLENTY of other gear to miss, so that takes the sting out of missing one.

The boss here has fucking F O U R (4) unique items he drops, and without exploits and very careful gameplay, it's not possible to get them all.

And then there's an NPC you have to get to become hostile (thus failing his questline) and kill to get his unique weapon. They just got so carried away with this shit.
