You're on a boat when suddenly a small young toddler child falls into the ocean. Theres no one else around and no time to properly react. If you jump into the water and save the child, your phone thats in your front right pocket will get wet and become too damaged to repair. If you take the time to protect your valuables before jumping in, itll be too late and the child will drown. If you save the child their parents wont thank you. What would you do?

Well my phone is IP68 water proof, so I would throw my phone to the toddler and have him call for help.

I toss my phone into the air, jump in to save him/her, hand him/her to parents, finally I catch my phone, put on my sunglasses and do a Chad wink and thumbs up.

If the slight delay of taking my phone out of my pocket and setting it down causes me to be too late to save the child, than I probably don't react in time period. It would take less time to set my phone down than it would to be jump off the boat, swim over to the child and rescue them.

If the parents aren't already in the water by the time I notice, then RIP child. Shot up with 97 degrees of poor parenting.

Thing is some of us would react before even thinking of our phone. I would less so cause im selfless and more so cause i just tend to not think about my phone. Always leaving it at home or in my truck.

Just a side-question, but where are the kids parents? Leaving a toddler unattended on a boat is just reckless.
