I still enjoy it.

I burned myself out on it. It was the only game I played for like a year lol.

But content was slow and the community conversation was almost always centered around complaining about the meta.

Every few months in play it religiously for 3 weeks then stop. Wrecking Ball is so much fun.

Overwatch is one of the few games to legit piss me off.

People say League of Legends is the most toxic game ever but no, it's Overwatch. Why? Because carebear Blizz decides not to put a scoreboard in, so people just flame who they feel is doing badly, rather than who actually is.

So that off-meta guy that has the most damage, kills, objective kills, objective time, and died the least? Yeah, fuck that guy, let's scream at him in VOICE CHAT to kill himself, rather than the meta guy who missed every shot, died the most, and has maybe 2-3 assists at best. To sweeten the pot, HE'S probably the one telling you to kill yourself.

At least in League people wait to see if the off-meta pick works out and gets off your back if you pull your weight.

I legit hyper carried games as Doomfist, Bastion, and Mei; but almost always got yelled at every game unless we were godstomping. It got super exhausting, especially if I went on that odd loss streak. Then once they nerfed Doomfist so hard that he was legit punching through people, that's when I took a break and haven't been back since.

Another issue with Overwatch (imo) is that it can be extremely frustrating when you are losing badly and borderline boring when your team is stomping the other team. And lots of games get skewed like that, since it only takes one troll on one team to compromise the match unless somebody is smurfing.

Another is that there can be multiple game plans that a team can take that would be effective, but if 3 people on the team have a different game plan and insist theirs is the way to do it, the match becomes toxic and falls apart.

Additionally, people's stats can be inflated because they are making stupid decisions. Being Reinhardt and having top damage and kills doesn't necessarily mean your DPS is letting you down, and could very well be evidence to the opposite.

And worst of all, meta barely matters in low ranks unless it's heavily tank favored. If a guy is playing Genji at your rank, he is probably winning about as many games as you are at your SR. Your Gold Genji may suck, but so do you smh.
