I never liked xbox controls, too big imo.

Doesn't have a giant ass light that drains battery for one <_<
Fills out and feels more solid in the hands.

Of the new controllers I've had, I haven't had any issues with my Xbone controllers. between two PS4 controllers I've had an Options button that liked to get stuck and i had to go out of my way to consciously hit it to make sure I actually hit it. On my second PS4 controller, if I press the X button at an off-angle, it'll get lightly stuck but slowly make its way back out.

Overall the PS4 controller just feels cheaper but they cost as or near as much as a new Xbone controller.

Playstation controllers have always been to small for me, I'd start to get hand cramps after playing shooters for to long.

Apparently the light bar hardly does anything to the battery, it's actually the touchpad that drains the controller the most.

So it wasn't what's in the back, but instead what's in the front, hmm...

Both are shit out of the box, but at least you can fix the x1 by spending another 25 for a play and charge kit. Nothing can fix the stupid light on the ds4 draining the battery

This. Asymmetrical thumb stick layout was the best thing that happened to gaming controllers.

XBone controllers fill your hands better, triggers and bumpers are better, and it has analog placement that actually makes sense.

The rumble triggers in the Xbone controller are pretty nifty too. I don't really notice it in many games though lol.

Well sure. you can get used to anything. But the xbox placement is just plain superior. As someone who only came to console gaming when both were out, I just couldn't stand using the playstation for long, whereas the xbox was crazy comfy.

Less said about the OG fatboy controller though the better >.>

I don't think the placement of the sticks matters all that much. The problem with the dualshocks was that the thumbsticks were kinda shitty until the DS4.

Hard to say. Size and control layout ill give to xbox, but the standard controller also had some plastic near the triggers that i could feel grind on my fingers, not painful, but annoying.

PS4 didnt have that, though it IS smaller.

But im using a Razor Wildcat X1 controller now, which i really like. HOWEVER my dad has offered my a ps4 controller with similar size and layout cause he doesnt like it (He doesnt like the Xbox Stick configuration)

I was exclusively a Sony guy during the PS1 & PS2 eras, so I've used that type of controller too. The Xbox stick position is a much better design, much easier on the hands.

If you ever start getting arthritis or carpal tunnel, it matters a lot.

It's more likely just because it's bigger and fits an American hand more. Otherwise you're holding it the same just resting your thumb in a different place.

I'm surprised Xbox is dominating this much. It was way more balanced earlier this generation. I guess people finally saw the light.

It does help that Xbox fixed up the issues of the launch controllers too.
