This is the most Nintendo thing possible that in the current current year you can't turn off a home console using the console's controller to do so, you have to physically move your fat fatness over to the physical space occupied by the console and hold down a button for several seconds, after which you get a fucking prompt to turn it off THAT YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR CONTROLLER REMOTELY TO CONFIRM.

Doesn't sound like something that would be significant in that sense. But regardless I prefer having stuff turned off when I'm not using it.
