...for all of Disneys rights in Star Wars. This means Disney also gets the video game rights to Spider-Man, but they also lose all the theme park and merchandising rights (as well as film, TV, comic book, etc.) rights to Star Wars.

By the way, this doesnt necessarily mean Sony gets those Star Wars theme parks. Disney still owns the lands and assets. But Disney would have to retcon those parks to not be Star Wars, license the theme park rights from Sony, or sell the parks to Sony.

Sony only has rights to the movies. Why would Disney give up the rights to any of their properties, let alone Star Wars?

I don't see any scenario where the movie rights for Spider-man would be worth more than the entirety of Star Wars.

Disney would never do this. I can see them trading away Movie rights with the caveat that Disney has full streaming distribution rights but Disney is essentially a toy company and most of the star Wars money comes from merchandise.

Star Wars doesn't have the 90-year history with the Disney brand that Mickey Mouse does.
