They fooled everyone the first time, got the coveted 97 metacritic and reap the rewards

Now the the honeymoon phase is over, will they get away with it when the release the sequel? Can they fool everyone again?

Not sure how releasing a great game is considered fooling everyone, but I sure hope so.

I would be entirely surprised if they waste the opportunity of a sequel and not address any of the perceived issues people had with the first one.

I've said this before, but I'm guessing there's some considerable overlap between these two groups:

1) the type of gamer who will say that mass appeal is inherently a bad thing; 'try to please everyone and you'll end up pleasing no one.'
2) the type of gamer who will say that a critically-acclaimed game that doesn't appeal to everyone (themselves in particular) obviously must have bribed their way into those good reviews.

If they don't fix weapon durability or remove it altogether I'll be heated. The combat in the game was only made fun by the fact that you had options to approach but one on one, like the combat challenges, were not fun at all. Especially the "difficult" ones, they were just damage sponges.

if it's largely the same, but you can have weapons and shields that won't break (even if they're rare, add a hookshot, and some legit dungeons, I think that it's something that I can really look forward to.

I'd also like a human Ganondorf.

But Ganondorf already is the "human" version of Ganon. There is no Ganondorf without him being humanoid.

Personally I'd rather they have a similar weapon system, but weapons take longer to break and there's a crafting system for repairs/replacements.

I'd technically argue there were 5 dungeons, the 4 Beasts and Hyrule Castle, but people's issue is that the 4 Beast were short, had minimal combat or difficulty, and visually the same. Compare that to prior Zelda games where each Dungeon had a vastly different theme and aesthetic. Each have a fairly unique boss. Had a good mix of combat and puzzles. That really isn't the case for the Beast in BotW.
