McDonald food doesnt inherently make people go insane and have a high chance of harming/killing others

Youre not even being consistent. My point was that hard drugs negatively affect and increases the dangers people pose to others (desperate actions bring a part of that) and you originally blamed the people, not the drugs, but now youve reversed your statement that its not the people, its drug addiction. Thats exactly what Im saying. Thats part of the danger with hard drugs.

I wouldn't blamed one thing. I never believe stuff is that black and white. It's not that Im being inconsistent, it's that you keep making assumptions of what side Im on by stretching what Im saying to fit whatever you narrative you expect from me. Im just trying to be reasonable and not act like drugs have the power to corrupt most good people. Bad people do worse things when on drugs, sure. But good people usually aren't out here directly hurting others because of drugs. And I say directly like I would about how a bad attitude can also indirectly hurt people. I just feel like the involvement of the drugs and the actions was overstated. It's pretty much always paired with an underlining mental disability or bad upbringing.

No, your hard drugs only cause bad people to do bad things is whats black and white, undermines the direct effect they have on people, and just a denial of science. The reason theyre considered a problem and illegal is because due to their strong addictiveness they have a high chance of causing any average person to become dependent and develop mental issues (like drug addiction) and seriously negatively affects their brains compared to things like weed and alcohol.

No, it destroys lives. I have to revive OD'd junkies all the time and sometimes twice in the same day. A lot of them are homeless and they don't care. Their survival instincts are overwritten just so they can have that next high. It's horrible to see constantly.

tl;dr: drugs are bad, mkay?

This is true but it does not apply to everybody. As with alcohol and tobacco some people people can use drugs in moderation without it controlling their lives. It is very sad when people get addicted and ruin themselves/OD but I don't think people who can use responsibly should be punished.

Pretty much I think we should treat drugs like we do alcohol. That destroys people's lives yet it's totally legal at a certain age, same with gambling.

I meant "rich" for the area. Living in the fancy corners of a poor town. People who didn't have any other reason than to get clout. Dunno what you were insinuating but I just wanted to clear that up.

No one came from those areas in the states Ive lived so its just weird to me seeing that. Well no, there was one dude who lived in the nice area but I dont trust that shit and I think he wound up getting busted.

I dont know, maybe its the friend group and not the area. I could never go to a fancy area, just sketches me out in general.

Prohibition creates stigma and encourages binge behavior, which shifts the market advantage heavily in favor of dealers, by making it an extremely lucrative business with desperate customers.

Hell, we're even seeing this effect with legal drugs, as shady patent laws and the effective lack of a generic market is making insulin more lucrative than heroin somehow.
