It's hardly a story when Americans show up at the ER in an Uber. Uber Health is a thing. Who can afford an ambulance?

Probably cheaper to take a cab than abulance. Heard some bills be 10k for the ride to hospital in abulance

This
And regardless of how much people are freaking out over it this technically isn't an emergency for which an ambulance would be required

only if they consider it essential. if you're in a situation where you technically could have gone to urgent care instead of the hospital, or gotten to the ER on your own, they'll fight the bill as being "unnecessary"

oh yeah, they don't like to pay for ambulance transport if you're relocated to a different facility, such as a mental health facility, even though it's usually hospital policy that all transport is done by ambulance

for-profit insurance is just that, and they'll do everything in their power to avoid paying for anything and pass the costs onto you

none of us are having a laugh about it except the wealthy

i know several people who are in-debt because they ended up in an ambulance.

our healthcare system is criminal.

Odd, side story here..but true.

My friend broke her ankle in the mountain of Upstate NY.
She required a helicopter to extract her off the mountain.
As it turns out, because it happened on public land she didn't have to pay for the Helicopter or any of the Rangers etc.

Funny world.

Found a pic of it...you know that puppers is wtf'ing big time.
