In your everyday life, how do you normally drive? How do you think everyone else should drive? This is in real life with current laws, with regards to current speed limits. How do you drive?

Yeah but ideally, bow fast do you think that flow of traffic should be going? Just say youre cruising down the highway or something, do you wish everyone was going about 10 mph over the speed limit maybe?

Interstate - speed limit 70
I would happily drive 90+ but I don't because that ticket would be fucking expensive so I usually go about 80

Highway - speed limit 55-65
I usually go 70-80, try to keep under 20 over

Residential areas - speed limit 30ish
I drive around 5 over

School zones
I strictly adhere to the posted limit

I tend to drive 4 over. Indiana however, when I went to a conference, speed limit was 55 on highway, but everybody was passing me so I sped up to match, 70-75 in a 55.

This is a strange question because if everyone was going the same speed, the number doesn't matter. Could be 10 over, 20 over, 2 over. It's the people that don't flow with the rest that fuck everything up.

Well it does matter I think, because the question is about what you personally prefer, not what the most safest or whatever is. If everyone was going half the speed limit, would you be happy? No, thatd suck. If everyone was going a hundred mph thatd suck too too. I mean everyone has a preferred rate of speed. I get going with the flow of traffic is important, but still, there are passing lanes and right hand lanes, and different speeds for different lanes, generally. Do you find yourself passing a lot in the left hand lane? Do you find yourself more in the right hand lane? Everyone has an ideal speed they like to go.

5 to 10 MPH over the limit tends to be the flow of traffic where I live. Unless there is inclement weather, that works well enough.

In Houston Texas it seems like 15 over is the norm honestly.

I set my cruise control to +2 or +3 of the speed limit. That way I don't get pinged by speed cameras but I still feel like some kind of wild rebel.
