Current Events > I haven't looked at my ex's social media in 8 months

Im bored, recently ended things with someone, suffering from anxiety, and super curious. Ive had 2 exs since her(including the one I just ended things with) but I got over them quickly. Convince me not to go to her page. 8 months strong, Im doing so well.

No need to beat off. Its not that serious. We broke up almost 2 years ago. It hurt a lot but I didnt chase or pursue, just accepted it. Didnt stop me from checking her social media page every once in a while. She got a new man about a year after we broke up(8 months ago) so Ive already experienced the feeling of seeing her with someone else. That was when I decided to stop looking at her page.

I ended up getting a gf about 2 months later. My ex that Im curious about and I are not friends on any social media but I still catch her searching me up and looking at my stories sometimes. I know better than to look at her page when she does.

I dont think I ever said I was fully over it...... I said that I accepted it and didnt try to pursue her. I do keep track of how long its been since I looked at her page because that helped me heal. Its not like I put it on a spreadsheet LOL, just keep a mental note

Then I'd suggest you get off the internet and go occupy yourself with something that makes you happy, man. If you're having a rough moment and you sit and stew in your past trauma I think it's only going to get harder to resist and you'll end up regretting it if you do. I think once you've put some distance between yourself and this you can sit in there and process it and it will work out much better for you.

I'm sorry for making assumptions my dude. We all heal differently. Best of luck.

Basically one of 3 things will occur.

They are doing shitty which maybe makes you feel good if you're a bad person but should make you feel bad.

They are doing OK which doesn't really make you feel good or bad.

They are doing way better which will probably make you feel bad.

So p much you have nothing to gain from it except most likely feeling shitty, or feeling nothing at best.
