I had the biggest 180 experience with Doom 2016, so much so that I removed Doom Eternal from my wish list.

The first few hours are a lot of fun and intense, but it is just so repetitive and way too long for the kind of game that it is. A one trick pony like Doom needs to be only like 6 hours. Anyways, I was digging it well enough for the first half or so then just wanted to be done with it. Was determined to finish, got to the second to last mission, and the fucking game crashed and lost all save data. Don't have it in me to restart and see it through since there was really nothing to keep me invested in the first place which is unfortunate. I wanted to love it

I did. It was fun, but it burnt out too fast.

hey man, that's one of the hardest ones, you can do it! the rest of the episode is nowhere near as difficult as the first two levels. if you're using a source port make sure you have infinitely tall actors or whatever turned on, it makes the cacodemon swarm at the beginning way more manageable from what i remember
