Board 8 > SNES games reverting to older saves on the swtich?

I was done the first dungeon in the world of power in alttp when I booted up my game today it loaded a save that wasn't even done the first dungeon in the world of light. Anyone know if this is a known bug or something? I didnt load a save state or anything like that I just loaded up the game from the choose a save file. When i noticed all my stuff was missing i restarted the game and it reverted to an even older save file.

I've been playing on the online switch games and haven't had this happen yet.

You didn't touch save states at all? And no else is playing your switch right?

You're not the first I've heard having this problem. I would start using suspend points to save my game if I were you.

If I get the drive to redo everything i will.

I have one save state, but it was a a point even earlier than when I first loaded up. I loaded up the save state after I realized I lost a bunch of progress realized it was from even earlier then just reset the game. When I loaded the save the second time it loaded the game from the point I was in during the save state.

I'm unsure of the order of events, but when you boot up a save state you're essentially resetting all the hard saves to what they were when you suspended.

So for example you save your game normally at 2pm. At 3pm you make a save state and then at 4pm you make another hard save.

Loading up your suspend point at 3pm will permanently delete your 4pm save and if you were to try to reload it you would be back at 2pm.

Make sense?

Yes. It still unfortunately doesnt explain the first loss of progress.
