Comcast bill went from $61 to $78 this month since my annual contract expired.
I'm not really that miffed because I immediately called and was able to upgrade my speed to 100mbps for $66/mo, but I'm still out that $16 difference because the bill already processed. Still brings up a point though about price increases. Should be required to notify you in advance. --- GOAT name ... Copied to Clipboard!

The language is very likely in your contract which the consider notification
Edit: it is very customer unfriendly to increase rates without specific notification. Not defending the practice but it is technically something you agree to have happen ... Copied to Clipboard!

I mean you do agree to $X rate for this period then it will increase after the period to the "standard" rate. I'm sure if you look through your contract you'll see that type of language.

Oh I know it's surely somewhere, likely on page 42 of this dense 69 page contract full of legalese that no sane person ever actually reads. It's a scummy practice and I'm not on any grounds to dispute the charge or anything, but it's absolutely fucked that it's just an industry standard.

Where I work, I added an inclusion in our contract that while we could increase rates at our discretion, we can only do so after providing a 30 (maybe 60, dont remember) day notice of the increase ...
