Whereas Microsoft confirmed you'll be able to pop old game discs directly into the console, all Sony has said so far is it they're looking into integrating some sort of remaster engine into the console. They haven't committed to physical disc backwards compatibility, and the fact that they announced it in response to the Microsoft announcement reads like they're trying to cover their ass over a feature they weren't planning on having. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
