What do/did you hate having to do the most?

Star Wars.

No specific spoilers in the poll but flagged topic title with spoilers just in case since this covers the base set of planets and locales in the shipped version of the game.

I played it just a few years ago so I don't have a decade or two of nostalgia carrying the game for me.
Never completed a second playthrough because of Manaan.

Timing the sonar against the firaxa was annoying and a bit scary.

I actually got bit and killed once.

I wasn't expecting the loudness of the sound effect (on Xbox) and it made me jump

Taris was a slog for me I remember, and it kind of made everything you did on that planet completely pointless when the Sith just decimate it anyway and kill everyone lol

I liked Manaan and how it was a neutral planet in the conflict and you had to deal with all the politics of Sith and Republic folks forced to mingle without killing each other.

Tbh I think if they had had more time/resources they could've included some story follow ups if you did certain things like help the Under city folk find the Promised Land and what not.

Even doing everything that you can, chances are you probably wouldn't wind up past like Level 21 or 22. There's just not that much experience to go around.

One of my first playthroughs(don't think it was my very first) I actually I don't think I even hit level 20 by the time i got to the end fight.

Kashyyk probably but that's not to say that Kashyyk is boring either. It's just mostly a kinda drab environment fighting in the woods and then it's over. Manaan has some neat side-quests and invading the Sith base is cool. Manaan's lower sea reactor place is kinda neat too besides the slow walking in the water.

tbh of the main planets Kashyyyk is probably the most linear feeling.

If Manaan wasn't quite so dull, I'd be all in Dantooine being the worst part of the game. I don't mind Taris too much, if you know what you're doing you can do all the stuff in under 4 hours, so it isn't much worse than Peragus in KOTOR2.

Dantooine just has a bunch of boring conversations, at least after you've heard them the first few times, and fights against Kath Hounds.

Overall I disliked Dantooine more than Manaan. Underwater Manaan was certainly the worst section of the game, but I did kind of like the upper Manaan sections. There wasn't really anything I liked about Dantooine though.

their attitude towards their neutrality reminds me of zero tolerance rules in school/life. "oh both sides were wrong even though one side clearly started it"

I think the Selkath were set up pretty well. They're neutral out of necessity because the Sith are clearly the bad guys but the Sith would also totally bomb the hell out of Manaan if the Selkath completely sided with the Republic. Some of the Selkath even secretly side with the Republic anyway because of it and that's why you go to the underwater base.
