Becuase you will always buy more at the store when using a credit card than when using your own money.

Gas - yes - definitely always use a credit card (mine is 3% cashback)
But grocers - don't fall into that trap. You'll start throwing 1 or two extra items in your cart because "Oh, I'll pay it back before the month is up"
^ try that for 10+ years. Yeah right you'll pay it once the month is up.

Just trust me, it's a trap. Don't desensitize yourself to spending money. Don't be like me when I was 25 and be ordering Dominos on a credit card because "you get cash back and can easily pay it back!"

At first, sure, that worked - but I got so desensitized to it that my $20 grocery bills were becoming $40. I was buying random shit. I was eating out more.

It's "The Man's" way of putting you in debt. Trust me.
that's just poor financial responsibility and it is not the fault of the CC

and i only buy things i plan to eat or drink. regardless if it would have been cash or credit, because i don't distinguish credit from cash. every dollar i spend on my CC is considered $1 from my checking.
