it is, but I've decided that I'm going to address it anyway because I am bored and online.

if white supremacists/neo-nazis/the alt-right became an extremely significant and vocal part of the fanbase of baseball, I would expect the people in charge of baseball to:
-ask why that was happening and hopefully figure out why
-based on the answer to the question, make some sort of change to the industry
-explicitly state that they are opposed to fascism/white supremacy, and that the people who follow the ideology are not welcome

if they did not do those things, I would, at the very least, be suspicious of their intent.

to my knowledge, Jordan Peterson has done zero of those things.

You can't be jailed since it's not a criminal offense to misgender, but Bill c16 does move it under the category of discrimination that can lead to fines or orders to change the accused behavior, take retraining, etc.

I'm no supporter, but most of what he does is just try to address like Psych 101 terms and like the first steps to try and solve an issue if you have like depression or feel your life is lacking or whatever. But he does a solid job of addressing the concept to an audience that otherwise wouldn't be interested in it.

That's ignoring that he kind of fans the flames of alt-right and more or less pushes a lot of conservative propaganda. He clearly knows what he's doing, because a lot of his own papers are about what influences conservative ideology, and as a spoiler, its not usually "facts and reasoning"

I havent watched any of his stuff in a long time, but I like him. I took the time to look up one that should be interesting. I prefer the videos where he talks about developing an inner psychopath to withstand trauma but this seemed more accessible.

Yeah he's been in rehab for a few months. Also, it's absurd that people think he's a bad guy, or even a nazi which is absurd. Most of his work and lectures have nothing to even do with politics.

That makes a lot of sense. First part is fair. Second part is what Ive gathered from the short amount of content Ive seen. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

One of my friends was all about him for a while. I tried to listen to him, but holy fuck he has a horribly grating voice. How someone with his speech pattern got a career as an orator I'll never understand.
