She brought a cheque for 46,000 to reimburse the government and said "that should be enough' but Judge Bruce Reinahrt disagreed and said she committed a serious crime and couldn't "buy her way out of jail" and said choices in life has consequences as the message was "you can't steal from the government and not go to jail" The Finnish American Rest Home praised the decision and said she exploited the care home for caring for her mother and said this was a serious crime. In addition, she could have applied for MEDICARE if she filed the paper work but said Turk was LAZY and didn't really care for her mother.
