IIRC that is something that is exclusive to soy milk and it's not because of the phytoestrogen directly but because something in it increases estrogen production internally.

It's the proverbial "did you know drinking water can kill you?" Bullshit that people like to spout. It doesn't affect almost anyone.

The main reason people even care about this is because soy "feminizing you" has become a sports team political insult by one team (i.e. the right) against the other (i.e. the left). This guy is dumb for making this video about politics from the onset, because people on his team will agree with him and people on the other team will disagree with him no matter what he says.

Basically eating some soy every day is not going to negatively affect your hormone production, but it is possible to eat too much soy. This quote from the article is pretty helpful: "there is an explanation for higher levels of estradiol in men with higher body fat. If you are prone to high estrogen levels, eating a moderate amount of soy should decrease your overall estrogen levels, while too much can increase it."

That's interesting, because it pretty much aligns with the findings in OP's video at about the 17:40 mark. Sperm counts don't go down significantly until you get to very high soy intake levels

The phenomenon is real it's just misconstrued in several ways.

1. The phytoestrogen doesn't affect you like normal estrogen
2. It takes a lot of soy to reach the levels that it will start affecting you that way
3. I highly doubt soy is the only thing that causes that problem. In general just being fat causes increased estrogen production.
