The people voted to leave, whether you agree with the UK leaving the EU or not it was anti-democratic to hold on so long. This is a pretty silly thing to say. The Council of the European Union, European Parliament, and European Council are all either directly, or indirectly voted for by the citizens of the EU. Furthermore the Commission doesn't pass laws, they draft them.
