Yep I have a relative who has this condition. He talks about being a billionaire and knowing Trump personally. He tells me he doesn't like taking his meds and I honestly dunno if he enjoys talking crazy like that or not.

Antipsychotics fucking suck, dude. Sometimes people simply don't think the side effects are worth it

I don't have a full schizophrenia diagnosis but it's common in my family and I've had multiple psychotic episodes since I was a little kid, I've been on an antipsychotic for 6 years and I feel a lot better for it.

A lot of people still think Schizophrenia is the same thing as multiple personalities. There's so much misinformation about this condition.

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

My brother developed it when I was like 12 and he was 18 after smoking too much pot and a traumatizing experience (failed college + girlfriend left him right after they got a kid)

He'd wake me up at night, screaming loudly verses of the bible holding them rigdly with the voice of a prophet, and hissing at me when I came to tell him to shut up

Then it was a lot of rambling about demons and pacing around whispering verses whenever there was a family gathering.

I think he's better now but it ruined his life. He's in a care house rn, not really accomplishing anything at all

This scared me away from doing hard drugs, although the link is not 100% proven

Hellblade really did help me understand the feeling people with schizophrenia may have. Since then I've been more tolerant of things and subjects alike.

I think a couple of CEmen have it. I remember them talking about constantly hearing voices in the background, sometimes louder than others.

Not everyone is as lucky as you when it comes to the effects. I was on many antipsychotics, but once I got off them I immediately noticed an overall improvement in my life and will never go back.

Yeah it's anecdotal but you can't deny that a lot of people just can't or won't handle the side effects.

That's not how schizophrenia works. But it does onset around that time.

I'm saying schizophrenia isn't caused by pot and a traumatic experience, not that it isn't schizophrenia. More likely just correlated to the age period when it often shows itself.

High doses of pot can trigger a schizophrenic episode, but only if you have schizophrenia, obviously.

Those can definitely trigger it, and thc use in teenage years does have an effect on the development of psychosis. Perhaps it would have shown up later, but those factors definitely sped up the process.

That's true, I tried a different one when I was 15 and that didn't work so well. This one lets me feel like me and still have some level of energy without all the harmful thoughts, I'm nowhere near normal and not totally mentally stable but it just about works.
