Nothing freaks me out more that seeing a picture or movie with grey aliens. heck, even the 'I come in peace, i bring you love' alien from the xfiles episode freaked me out and still somewhat does to this day

Xenos represent a known factor of fear i.e. they'll hurt/kill/eat you if they catch you. Greys represent an unknown factor of fear. You don't know what they'll do to you.

Grays freaked me out more than any other kind of alien. Its because they're more intelligent than humans and they come in the night and anal probe and experiment on you like an animal while you're awake and powerless to do anything about but hope it was all a bad dream.

Xenomorphs are horryfying but they are too fake for most adults to take seriously.
