I get it, a lot of people are mad about some horrible decisions Gamefreak made with 8th gen, and you like it anyway so you have to defend it. But you really should stop being dishonest and defend their good decisions while criticizing the bad.

Those are definitely the games that most deserve a re-release (as opposed to a remake). Emerald is the only other contender

Well for one it's my opinion that Sinnoh is a top tier region, with Hoenn and Kanto. Second, we havent seen any of the Diamond/Pearl remake so saying it's going to be bad based on preconceived ideas is also disingenuous. It could be an awesome remake like Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

You can't really just dump a DS game on Switch. Most DS games use the touch screen. And the only way you could do that on switch is by playing undocked. And if you're playing undocked, the tall DS screens would be fitted into the horizontal switch screen and you'd have a ton fo black space on either side. And if you turn the Switch screen to show the DS screens vertically, then you can't attach the joy cons to the sides of the system. And if you can't attach the joy cons, then you'd have to hold the screen, the separate joy cons, AND still have a free hand to operate the touch screen.

So it wouldn't work.

Which is irrelevant because Wii Us have the right hardware to easily play most DS games, and Switches don't.

I guess they could allow you to use joy con motion controls with a pointer on the screen to simulate a touch screen. But that seems very clunky and there are still problems like how Switches don't have microphones.

Those games were among the worst in the series in terms of difficulty. Black and white 2 were perfect pokemon games however, give us that instead

ORAS is definitely inferior to Emerald.

Besides, D/P remakes in the hands of current Game Freak are likely not going to do those games or Platinum any justice.

Battle system wise ORAS is superior because of the Physical/Special split. Story wise ORAS (and RS as well) are superior to Emerald because they didnt butcher the story and make that lame brain Wallace Champion instead of Steven the far superior character. No Battle Frontier sucks but those two reasons alone are enough to put ORAS over Emerald.
