people like that movie 'call me by your name.' Personally it looks stupid as hell to me but a lot of others like it.
you should definitely watch it and give it a chance. i would put it in the top three lgbt films ever

i dare you to watch it and not want to live in italy for the summer

Moonlight too ofc
yee good shout bro. i remember watching it at the london film fest and thinking it was one of the best films i've watched

i would say that there's somewhat lgbt culture in the film (e.g. gay romance, trans rights, discrimination, etc)

i'm in two minds whether just having a gay lead is enough

i've never watched milk actually, but i heard it is a v good film

i would say no even though it centred around freddie mercury who is bisexual, and lightly touched on his sexuality throughout the film. decent film though

2 very very very good titles that doesn't focus on just the gayness, as in LGBT is more like a part of the story than the larger picture.

1. Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence

2. Banana Fish.

There's this scene outside a cafe where there were two gay dudes (one timid the other very outgoing and flamboyant) sitting along side two older women with one of them being their mother.

The mother was disapointed with her outgoing son about something, but he just said something and finally ended with "It sucks cock", and I couldn't hold back my laughter.

I don't remember if it was a movie or some tv show since I was flipping through the channels at the hotel I was staying.

The only two I can even think of that might come remotely close is some early '00 movie with Oliver Platt (can't remember the title) playing a homosexual man that I watched at the theater with my wife and her friend. And Exotica which has a oral sex scene with two men and a lesbian sex scene, with a young gal and a pregnant woman. Edit: Both of whose romance story were secondary to the main love story which was heterosexual, so probably not.

I personally don't distinguish between feature length porn of the 60s to 90s and what people consider proper films, I watch both for the same purpose.

Falconhead (gay fantasy horror porn and leather fetish film from the 70s, I'm very excited to watch the sequel which is apparently a surreal gay porno sword and sorcery film)
Muscle (Japanese gay erotic thriller)
God's Own Country
Weekend (British gay romance set in Nottingham)
Tropical Malady (Thai gay romance, utterly beautiful)
Knife + Heart (very atmospheric slasher and mystery with gay and lesbian romances set amongst the world of 70s gay porno)
