That gameplay mechanic where you have to solve a puzzle in a shrine by rotating your Switch in handheld mode?

I had to dock the system for that one.

Is this the one thats like one of those marble puzzles where you need to guide the ball?

You can launch the ball then turn the whole platform upside down so theres no obstacles

What's the gyro? All I knew is that I had to rotate my actual Switch in my hand to get the puzzle where I wanted, but at that point...I couldn't see the screen....

Yeah I know it does, but having to rotate the actual console itself and turn it around....doesn't seem like their best idea.

I had my handheld switch plugged in at the time and I nearly asphyxiated myself to death attempting that puzzle.

Gyro aiming is still the best aiming. Or a combination of controller and gyro.

Yeah, at least with the Switch you could detach the Joy Cons for those. Just imagine what those shrines are like with the huge, bulky Wii U controller. (Which I had to deal with.)

We are talking about one of the ball puzzles right?

The one thing you need to account for is the massive delay between you moving the joycon and the puzzle moving. I wasted so much time overcorrecting because I didnt wait to see if the ball moved after 2 seconds.

The motion control "feature" is universally looked down upon even by people that loved the game.

Knowing Nintendo, they'll double down on that for the sequel for some reason.

But almost every one of those have a work around. The maze one you can flip completely over and use the flat bottom to guide swat the ball, and the light the torches one can be done with flame arrows.
