I frequently see this arguement. About things that are popular.
Things like Fortnite, Minecraft, The simpsons after season 9, and spongebob People insist that they are bad or have serious flaws but they keep on going, Spongebob keeps on getting more seasons. Fortnite keeps making money. Now back on topic to star wars. People love it from their childhood but are critical of it. It keeps on making money but if I polled people they would say that it was a failure. It's not a failure of the profit department. So if something making huge profits isn't a indicatior of it being good what is? And how do you justify a view like that without having to say something arrogant sounding like "people that like this thing can't understand true art" note this is not a topic for talking about the movies flaws. Put that somewhere else. --- If there are single battles in generation 7 I'll close my account. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/792673-pokemon-omega-ruby/70118926 ... Copied to Clipboard!

People are going simply on brand recognition itself. It has nothing to do with the quality of the movie itself.

Because Star Wars is such a big name that a decent amount of people will show up no matter what. There is a term for this in economics but I forget what it is, but it's like a fixed market or something.
