Think I've heard it's similar to a convection oven, I don't have one of those though.

No. You'll just use it as an excuse to eat more fried food, and tell yourself it's healthier because it's air fried not deep-fried.

I don't eat much frozen foods. I have a pretty basic diet of veggies, beans, lentils, eggs, tofu, potatoes, etc.

Seems like it'd be cool to fry veggies and tofu though. And the occasional fries/potatoes.

I'd probably eat a lot more plantain to be honest...

I just got one for Christmas actually

I've been enjoying it a lot so far, I used to hate heating up leftovers in the microwave or even the microwave oven.

Definitely. You can put a burger in there, you can put fries, you can even put shrimp. No need to cook at all, the thing does it for you.

Ive had one for 2 years and its safe to say I possibly use it every day. Pizza rolls, baked potatoes, chicken fingers, wings, fries, frozen biscuits, reheating ANY fried food, etc. I could go on and on. Plus not having a house smell like a deep fryer all the time is a plus. I even made a blooming onion the other day. The only things Ive found so far to be inferior in it are fish sticks and cheese sticks. Deep frying cheese sticks are best.

I got a question for some people with one ITT, do you wrap your food in tinfoil or do you just clean the air fryer after each time you use it?

i had one but ended up not using it much. i would say to avoid it but if you dont have an oven anyway, then it might be worth it

wrapping would defeat the purpose of air frying the the food. Might as well bake in oven. I only wipe out the basket after preheating for the next use. I clean out the bin after its accumulated a lot of crumbs.

Wish I could borrow one from someone before deciding to buy it

I have an oven, but just a regular oven. A convection oven is different right?

Thanks

I never used wrapping but I read somewhere that people do it to keep the air fryer clean. Cleaning it isn't a huge deal though it just gets messy fast when I use it to make mozzerella sticks. Doesn't take long to clean anyway I was just wondering.

i have no idea lol, americans have different terms so im not sure what counts as what

i do like that air frying is healthier and does have a crispy effect with food, but its small and difficult to clean up afterwards (esp with seasoned meats)

@KlRBEH to me it not about the clean but it about to make the taste, the smell and heat stay inside the tinfoil.

And when you about to eat and open the tinfoil all smell out it smell so good

I use it to cook bacon, french fries, and reheating Chinese food. Air fryers are absolutely incredible at cooking all three
