Minus all the racist subtext, he raised some good points that still somehow went over the heads of his viewer base. Do you want us to be at war in some dirtwater 3rd world country for the rest of the century, because this is how we do that.

bUt THey AtTacKeD uS*!!!!

True, the man is disgusting, but we can still agree on his main point that this was a stupid, shortsighted move and that people need to think about who it actually benefits

Get used to it. Were watching consent be manufactured right in front of our eyes from people who two weeks ago didnt want war with Iran.
Yeah it's like a lightspeed version of what the Bush admin did with Iraq. Many of these are the very same tools that wouldn't vote for Hillary because they claimed she was to hawkish and would get us into war.

The reality is that we are naturally inclined to trust the people we like. Republicans would be livid if Hillary pulled this, and there would be more than a few Democrats who wouldve applauded her.

Whats crucial at this juncture is that enough Republicans in influential positions (particularly senators) start breaking from him over this. We just need a few to get the ball rolling in the senate trial, because both this and his actions in the Ukraine provide enough legal justification to remove him from office and land him in prison. Id argue that they should constitute as treason.

As a leftist, Im torn. On one hand its a nice blast from the past to be antiwar again for the first time since 2007. On the other hand, it means agreeing with Tucker Carlson.

At the very least if Hillary had called it it wouldn't have been done from fucking Mar-a-lago and we still wouldn't only have the generic statement of "He was planning an immanent attack" two days later.

Well thats my primary issue and what I raised to my representatives and have been discussing with my Republican friends on Facebook. Trump used very loose justification in order to assassinate a foreign official, which is an act of war. It was illegal for him to not inform our allies or run it through Congress. And he got away with it because hes been systematically pruning his administration of anyone who would tell him no. It completely bypassed the electorate, effectively making him a despot in this.

I believe he technically has to at least brief the gang of eight.

No. Stupid, shortsighted moves would be running on an isolationist platform, attacking our allies, attacking NATO, praising authoritarian regimes and abandoning the Kurds. It's almost like there's a reason Iran escalated their attacks in the region, it's as if they think they can get away with it against an ineffective president This was a much needed pushback.

If you ever find yourself in agreement with Tucker Carlson, it's a safer bet to assume you're in the wrong rather than him being right.
