Mario could make a good film.
The rescue plot has been used in everything from Robin Hood to King Kong to Star Wars. Seeing as Mortal Kombat is basically Enter the Dragon meets Big Trouble in Little China, there's no reason they couldn't have a good film. But the one that's due out in 2020 is probably gonna make Annihilation look like the first MK movie.
