Board 8 > Caught my very first Shiny Pokemon

I've played a lot of pokemon games and have never encountered a shiny before. Though i have never tried to.

I was in Victory Road in Let's Go Eevee and all of a sudden a Gold Graveler appeared right next to a normal Graveler and i immediately knew that it was a shiny.

Pretty cool and about damn time.

Let's Go has a different catching system then other games. For the most part, you don't battle the Pokemon. You just throw Pokeballs at them like in Pokemon Go.

Yeah my first ever encountered Shiny was a Graveler in FireRed that blew up on the very first turn

I remember running into a shiny Graveler back in Platinum and just staring at the screen for five minutes trying to decide what I should do to catch it before it blew up. Luckily it survived the first turn without exploding, and I managed to catch it with an Ultra Ball on the second turn.

I don't really want to shiny hunt for my first one either since I feel like that ruins the specialness of that first one especially.

I played diamond and platinum and never saw any. Other than that gastrodon fucker

I've only had one "organic" shiny appearance (as in totally random)

First one was the Red Gyarados, obviously
Then I got sick of not having any shinies so I played ORAS and maximized my odds by using the shiny charm and a hoard battle and chaining and whatnot. Ended up with a shiny Numel which is great because I love Camerupt. But it wasn't "authentic" per se.

Then USUM came around and I wasn't sure whether to use Alolan Diglett or Larvitar for my team so I decided "I'll use whichever one I encounter first". And it was a SHINY LARVITAR

First shiny was a Raticate on the way up to the Lake of Rage and the red Gyarados in Silver. At the time I had no idea what it was but I caught it

In Fire Red I ran into a shiny Nidoran in the Safari Zone and couldn't catch it, then within an hour I found a shiny Bellsprout elsewhere. Caught that one.

Everything else I have has been bred or chained or whatever deliberately. I'd have to bust out my Bank but I think I have like 30 shinies at this point. Let's Go was particularly good to me, I think I got like 3 shiny Doduos in half an hour.

Graveler is a good one. Great color and you didn't have to worry about him exploding.
