Cause it's easier to get away with if it's animated and people are pretty sick. They can convince themselves it's not as bad. While I'd agree that it's on the worse side of fetishes, you must really have no faith in humans in general if you think they're swayed that much by fiction. It's really no different than the video games cause violence argument.

I feel like I choose my approach carefully to avoid implying that was the case. But if you choose to take an already planted seed in your mind and revolve all your media around it. Of course it's gonna consume your thought process more. But taking away that media and leaving you with your own thoughts probably wouldn't do you any favors either. Media is definitely an escape goat for bad behavior and nowhere near the main contributor. But that doesn't mean you can't use media to help thrive in whatever you're into. And in some cases, the media is actually an outlet for people to plug into so they don't get consumed by whatever they're into and take way worse actions that harm other real people.

As the case with all mental health. It varies from person to person and placing the blame on one contributor is ignorant and always slows down the process of really solving it.

This is like asking why there aren't more video games about waking up, commuting an hour to your job, working for 8 hours, commuting an hour back, and going to sleep. It's a fantasy. If something is impossible or illegal in real life, it's going to get more representation in mediums with little or no restrictions. Not condining it, obviously, but that's just how it is.
