No, it's actually a brand new game. So it's not a remaster or anything like that.

From Wikipedia:

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a third-person action-adventure with an open world hub. Unlike most Lego games in which players had to advance through the story in a linear order, players can choose to start the game from any of the main Skywalker saga episodes and complete them in any order they wish. Each episode has its own hub filled with planets featured prominently in each respective film that can be visited and explored. Each episode will have five story missions each, a total of 45 levels.
Combat has also been revamped, such as lightsaber fights now involving a variety of combos with light attacks, heavy attacks, and Force moves, and blaster characters having an over-the-shoulder camera angle featured in many third-person shooter games.

I hope theres couch co-op. I bought the Harry Potter collection for something me and the kiddo to play. Its sort of fun but a little frustrating since you pretty much just run room to room trying magic spells until you figure out wtf it wants you to do. Some rooms take forever to figure out. Itd be nice to have more combat like Im sure this will have.

It's mainly missions and combat but with building and collecting entwined with the gameplay

yea all the lego games that ive played have these annoying puzzles where its like ok what random thing am i supposed to be interacting with here

I think the LEGO games have evolved a lot since then. HP was made back when they weren't using movie voice acting.

Given the success Tt had with it, I think Disney/Lucasfilm would be foolish to unload the LEGO aspect of the franchise onto anyone else, and perhaps they thought the same.
