it depends on if you like hopelessly boring movies or not. All three prequels, especially the second, are insanely long winded and exchange charming characters and dialogue for a gigantic amount of really stoic Jedi walking around in halls and quietly talking to each other. This is occasionally interrupted by a 15 minute action sequence and then settles back into people walking around and talking about politics and prophecies with each other

I dont remember anything about the prequels cause I haven't really seen much of them, but honestly the way people describe them sounds way more interesting than generic sci fi fantasy adventure that happens in the rest of the movies.

Not really.
You don't miss much with not watching the prequels at all, since apparently Peter Jackson forgot how to make movies good after he struck gold with the originals. I just re watched all the main trilogy films with a first timer. She liked the prequels.
